2012 Honey Queen - Caroline Adams

Caroline Adams is the 18-year-old daughter of Ned and Caryl Adams. She began keeping bees about five years ago through the Collin County Hobby Beekeepers Association and has thoroughly enjoyed it ever since. She is a homeschool graduate and is currently working towards her degree in American Sign Language at Collin College. Besides beekeeping, Caroline also enjoys teaching violin, playing traditional Irish music, English Country Dancing, serving at her church, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family.

 

 

 

 

2011 Honey Princess - Kellie Lenamond

2010--allison-adamsKellie Lenamond is the 18-year-old daughter of Mike and Tammy Lenamond of Wills Point, Texas. She is a sophomore at the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky where she is studying to be a Physician’s Assistant. She began beekeeping as a scholarship student in 2007 and has been fascinated with honey bees ever since. She also enjoys playing the violin, cooking, quilting, and spending time with her three younger sisters and two little brothers.

 

2006 Honey Queen - Jessica Coker

2006 Honey Queen - Jessica CokerJessica Coker is the 20 year old daughter of Steve and Cheryl Coker of San Antonio, Texas. She holds an Associate of Science degree from Northwest Vista College and is currently pursuing her Bachelors of Business Administration full time at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Jessica is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. One of her areas of interest is community volunteer work where she has volunteered extensively at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the University of Texas Health Science Center and the Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoys horseback riding, wakeboarding and playing the piano.

As an official spokesperson for the Texas Beekeepers Association, Jessica promotes all aspects of the Beekeeping Industry. She is available for interviews, personal appearances, and is prepared to give presentations to appropriate groups.

 

2004 Honey Queen - Sarah Kornfield

2004 Honey Queen - Sarah KornfieldSarah Kornfield of Plano, Texas is the 2004 Texas Honey Queen. Sarah is a student at Collin County Community College. She enjoys reading, crafts, church activities, playing both the violin and the piano, photography and taking care of her bees.

As an official spokesperson for the Texas Beekeepers Association, Sarah promotes all aspects of the Beekeeping Industry. She is available for interviews, personal appearances, and is prepared to give presentations to all groups.

 

2012 Honey Princess - Rebekah Jones

Rebekah Jones is the 18-year old daughter of Paul and Cindy Jones of Spicewood, TX. She became interested in beekeeping when her brother received a scholarship hive from the Williamson County Area Beekeepers Association. She now has her own hive and enjoys taking care of her bees. Rebekah also enjoys singing, playing her cello, babysitting, working with her church’s food pantry and most of all, spending time with her family.

 

2010 Honey Queen - Allison Adams

2010--allison-adamsAllison Adams is the daughter of Ned and Caryl Adams. She began beekeeping five years ago through the Collin County Hobby Beekeepers Association youth scholarship program and has thoroughly enjoyed it ever since. A home school graduate since May 2009, she currently teaches children’s art classes from her home. Allison also enjoys cooking and baking, gardening, volunteering at a natural science and wildlife museum, playing traditional folk music, and spending time with her family.

 

2009 Honey Queen - Nicole Pettibon

 

2009nicolepettiboncrop Nicole Pettibon is the 17 year old daughter of Patrick and Christie Pettibon with 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Nicole has been a beekeeper for 5 years since she started beekeeping in 2004 as a CCHBA scholarship recipient. She lives on a small ranch in McKinney, Texas where she enjoys spending her time cooking, reading, being with her friends, playing the piano and violin and working her beehives.

 

2011 Honey Queen - Kaylynn Mansker

2010---allison-adamsKaylynn Mansker is the daughter of Gary and Wanda Mansker. She began beekeeping in 2008 and enjoys learning about bees and how to use their many wonderful products. Her family keeps five hives on their small farm in Nevada, TX. Kaylynn also enjoys teaching piano, sewing, taking care of the family’s various farm animals, and spending time with her family.

 

 

2008 / 2007 Honey Queen - Rachael Seida

Rachael Seida is the 19 year old daughter of Steven and Melody Seida of Wylie, Texas. Rachael is a sophomore at North Central Texas College in Gainesville, Texas, where she is pursuing a degree in Equine Science. She enjoys horses, singing, reading, swimming and of course beekeeping. In addition to being 2008 Texas Honey Queen, Rachael has been crowned the 2008 American Honey queen.

As an official spokesperson for the Texas Beekeepers Association, Rachael promotes all aspects of the Beekeeping Industry. She is available for interviews, personal appearances, and is prepared to give presentations to appropriate groups.

2005 Honey Queen - Sandra PriestSandra Priest is the daughter of Eddie & Sylvia Priest of San Antonio, Texas. She is currently attending Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where she is a sophomore majoring in Agricultural Education. She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Collegiate FFA, and the Professional Agriculture Sorority: Sigma Alpha. She enjoys swimming, is a Life Guard, and plays the flute and piano.
